【摘要】:Thistestmethodwillgenerallydistinguishbetweencoolantsthataredefinitelydeleteriousfromthecorrosionstandpointandthosethataresuitableforfurtherevaluation.However,theresultsofthistestmethodcannotstandaloneasevidenceofsatisfactorycorrosioninhibition.Theactualservicevalueofanenginecoolantformulationcanbedeterminedonlybymorecomprehensivebench,dynamometer,andfieldtests.1.1Thistestmethodcoversasimplebeaker-typeprocedureforevaluatingtheeffectsofenginecoolantsonmetalspecimensundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions(seeAppendixX1).Note1Formoreinformationonenginecoolants,see(Refs1-8).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specifichazardsstatementsaregivenin10.1.7.2,10.1.7.3,and10.1.7.4.
